The Center for Environmental and Sustainable Development Research and Development at Jeddah University is a specialized research platform dedicated to promoting scientific research and innovation in the fields of environment and sustainable development and developing scientific and applied solutions to current and future environmental challenges. The Center seeks to unify and integrate research efforts and build strategic partnerships with academic, governmental, and industrial entities both locally and internationally, thereby enhancing research and scientific impact and supporting sustainable development.

The establishment of the Center for Environmental and Sustainable Development Research and Development came in response to rapidly evolving environmental challenges and the need for a specialized research system that contributes to knowledge production and the development of innovative solutions in the fields of environment and sustainability.
